ABOUT US

We met for the first time in January 1996 and we were married in November 1997. In the beginning, we lived in Newfoundland (where Janet is originally from) while Herb was the youth pastor at First Baptist Church in Mount Pearl. From Newfoundland, we moved to Ontario (1999) while Herb attended seminary across the border in the USA. From Ontario, we returned to New Brunswick (2001) where Herb pastored his home church. In 2015 we surrendered to go to the mission field of South Africa, after visiting missionaries that our church supported there.

We're originally a family of 6. Dad, mom and four children. We were all together when we left for the mission field in 2017. However, one by one the children are leaving the nest and moving on with their lives. Caleb, our oldest, is married now and living in Athabasca, Alberta. Jared, our second son, is living in New Brunswick and is pursuing a career in nursing. Megan is headed off to Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa to pursue a degree in education. We still have one son at home our youngest, Noah. He is a great help with our church plant. He is in 11th grade and has a fun-loving, outgoing personality. He keeps us laughing and is always organizing a get-together with his friend group.
